This Julia Galloway original piece inspired me to use the porcelain clay, and the images of clouds
This piece inspired me to use her color scheme of blue and to use her water color glaze to decorate my form

My Inspiration
My inspiration for my final project was the ceramics of Julia Galloway. Julia Galloway was mainly inspired by the theme of  beauty. She wants her forms to be visually appealing and also uses the theme of nature. She often uses inspiration from Minoan ceramics, Song and Tang forms and Persian ceramics. Her forms often incorporates a dripping effect of glaze which usually adds color to her forms. In my form, I used a different type of form than what she usually uses, starting smaller on the bottom and got wider to the top, instead of wider at the bottom and slimmer at the top. Like Julia does, I hand built my pot using porcelain, I incorporated her nature theme by using flowers and clouds, and used the classic blue and white colors that are common in Julia's forms.
